Choose life. Trainspotting is the story of Mark Renton and his friends, navigating the Edinburgh heroin scene of the 1980s. This punchy, 80-minute production recaptures the passion and controversy of the beloved novel and globally successful film - repackaging it into a visceral, immersive experience.

“Harry Gibson’s adaptation makes for extraordinary immersive theater.” -The Wrap

The Challenge

Lead transition of new cast members and maintain the creative direction set by Olivier Award-winner Adam Spreadbury-Maher. Integrate new performers while consolidating seven acting tracks into five - solving complex staging, traffic flow, and continuity challenges.

The Insight

Cult classics come with cult expectations.

Creative Leadership & Impact

As Resident Director, I preserved the production’s creative integrity while adapting to evolving casts, venues, and specific needs involved in experiential storytelling. I collaborated with our New York and London-based producers and marketing teams to drive press outreach - resulting in a New York Times feature on immersive theater in New York City.
