Directorial Approach
Guest directing on this comedy series meant collaborating with an established team of UCB writers/performers. The creator had developed the characters' journeys over 3 seasons and I wanted to honor that while exploring new relationships and family dynamics. From planning low angle, group shots for a birthday party gone wrong to more intimate, gentler moments in a budding romance, I wanted to offer more insight into the personalities we had seen in action throughout the course of the larger series.
