MOSES
by Grace Jordan
in collaboration with Ronete Levenson
Directed by Blayze Teicher
When an unhoused teen shows up at the home of Rebi and Karla, sisters grieving the loss of their parents, they form an unexpected family. But as tensions grow between the sisters, a series of plagues unfolds - seemingly triggered by their rift. A subversion of Exodus, MOSES alchemizes contemporary world events with ancient truths, primal wisdom, and the magic of prophecy.

The Challenge
Lead creative process - from development through production - for the New York premiere of Grace Jordan’s new play. Tasked with turning complex themes of family trauma and healing into an emotionally compelling audience experience through staging and design.
The Insight
Moving through trauma often calls for divine intervention.
The Directorial Concept
This production explored the paradox of epic, biblical events unfolding within modernity. Inspired by the play’s sparse, deliberate language, we crafted a minimalist world of neon to reflect both the emotional restraint and the ever-present undercurrent of love between Rebi and Karla.
